Elegant website design for a South Coast architectural studio

Helyer Davies Architects approached us to create a website that would reflect the elegance and editorial tone of their practice. Based on the Hampshire-Sussex border, their work spans town, country and coast, so the design needed to support a flexible content strategy while remaining refined and understated. We worked closely with the team to ensure their characterful projects and journal entries could be published with clarity and ease.

The site structure was kept intentionally light, making use of minimalist layouts and soft animations to let the work speak for itself. Every element was optimised for SEO performance and ease of publishing, with the ability to add new locations, categories and case studies without developer input. The result is a quietly confident site that complements the tone of the studio while delivering on performance.

A large part of the build involved refining the mobile experience. With so much of the imagery reliant on natural light, materiality and setting, we ensured each viewport would give the work room to breathe. Built on our in-house architecture CMS, the site is fast, scalable and easy for the Helyer Davies team to manage.
